  • Sat, April 13th, 4:30 PM

    Large Group Photos

We'll be taking one large group photo with each side of the family starting promptly at 4:30, so anyone who wants to be included should be at the Van Norman Field House by then.

    Ceremony!

The moment you all have been waiting for.

  • Sat, April 13th, Shortly after the ceremony

    Reception!

Dinner will be in the form of a buffet of breakfast foods. Entertainment will be in the form of a variety of games and puzzles instead of music and dancing.

Because the ceremony and reception are on school grounds, there will be no alcohol.

Hotel Info

We have a block of rooms reserved at the Hampton Inn Seekonk. When reserving rooms online, be sure to use the group code "WMT" to get the group rate of $119 a night.

Clothing

For a dress code, we encourage each guest to wear at least two different colors of pastel - the link below has tons of ideas for what that might look like. You don't have to, but it will be a lot of fun and we expect most guests are looking forward to participating!

Values

As we get ready to share this important day with you, we wanted to share some other things that are important to us.

  • We believe that America was founded on white supremacy, and that it is the responsibility of all of us who have benefited to help elevate those who have been harmed.
  • We believe that black lives matter.
  • We believe that no human is illegal and that family separation is a crime against humanity.
  • We believe that people of all genders should have the entire range of human experience available to them.
  • We believe that pregnancy should be a choice, that all young people should be taught comprehensive sex ed and that birth control should be free and easily available.
  • We believe that everyone should be paid equally for equal work, and that all people should be paid a living wage.
  • We believe that LGBTQ identities are valid and that their presence in society is a benefit.
  • We believe that food, clean water, housing, education and healthcare are basic human rights.
  • We believe that diversity is a strength, and that actively seeking out diversity over multiple dimensions is crucial.
  • We believe that equity is more important than equality.
  • We believe that representation matters.
  • We understand science - and science is true whether you believe or not!

Gifts

Different families have different traditions. For example, some of you may follow a tradition of giving envelopes, or others may follow a tradition of buying gifts off of a registry. We want everyone to follow what makes them the most comfortable. We've created a small registry for those who would prefer to buy a gift. Since the registry is very limited, it would be helpful for those of you who don't have a strong tradition of gift registries to leave this option for those who do. If you are someone who can make puzzles, we would love to receive puzzles from you. They could be wedding themed, but certainly don't have to be – we would appreciate puzzles of any theme. Because we have a small apartment and we have almost everything we need, we would also appreciate gift certificates to any of the stores that we shop at regularly:

Amazon
Stop & Shop
Whole Foods
Macy's
JC Penny
Staples
Target
